Hailed as the 'Queen of the Skies', the Boeing 747 was embraced by every major North American carrier since the first model rolled off the assembly line in 1968. As airlines renew their fleet, they are switching to cheaper, more efficient models. The Great Queen’s time has passed in this part of the world.

On January 3rd, 2018, Delta Flight 9771 took off from Atlanta on its final Boing 747 flight and the final 747 to be operated by a North American passenger carrier. That flight took aircraft #30269 an 18-year-old 400 model to its retirement home in Arizona where it will be stored and used for spare parts and eventually some point in the future will be broken up for scrap.

This month’s challenge is to recreate that flight where you will fly the Canadian Xpress freeware or payware Boeing 747-400 which is available to all pilots regardless of rank but only for the challenge from Atlanta (KATL) to Pinal Airpark (KMZJ). Since the aircraft is to be flown with its 346 seats empty, typical fuel calculations will not apply.
