Founded in 1729, Baltimore is the second-largest seaport in the Mid-Atlantic. The city’s Inner Harbor was once the second leading port of entry for immigrants to the United States and a major manufacturing center. After a decline in major manufacturing, industrialization, and rail transportation, Baltimore shifted to a service-oriented economy, with Johns Hopkins Hospital (founded 1889) and Johns Hopkins University (founded 1876), now the city's top two employers.

 

With hundreds of identified districts, Baltimore has been dubbed a "city of neighborhoods". Famous residents have included writers Edgar Allan Poe, singer Billie Holiday and baseball player Babe Ruth.

 

Canadian Xpress would like to invite all pilots & virtual airlines to join us on Saturday, September 29th at 10h00edt (14h00z) and 21h00edt (Sunday 01h00z) for our September 2018 fly-in where we fly from Toronto (CYYZ) to Baltimore (KBWI).

 

This is an open invitation to all pilots no matter what your flying experience to attend this Canadian Xpress event that will be flown on the VATSIM network.
