POSITION VACANCY: VATCAN Deputy Director, VATCAN2

 

Do you LOVE being a part of VATCAN? Want to make a real difference on day-to-day operations of the division? Here's the job for you.

 

REPORTS TO: VATCAN Division Director, VATCAN1

 

RESPONSIBLE FOR: The Deputy Director shall focus on day-to-day operations of the division, including (but not limited to):

 

- Representing the Division Director, should they be unable to do so.

- Regular meetings within the division, such as monthly staff meetings.

- Working with VATCAN's executive team to make decisions regarding the division.

- Maintaining a constant presence to assist VATCAN controllers and pilots.

- Keeping a regular contact with all VATCAN staff, as well as other contacts if necessary.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: The successful applicant should meet the following minimum standards:

 

- A familiarity with VATCAN's general operations, as well as general pilot operations and regulations is considered an asset.

- Minimum of C1 rating, and be in good standing within the VATSIM Network.

- A commitment to maintain a strong online presence throughout their appointment, including keeping a constant eye on e-mails and messages online.

- Managing multiple tasks at once, as well as focus on specific tasks if needed, as well as past experience in a staff role.

- The ability to communicate clearly and professionally through various mediums to people of different experience levels and cultures throughout VATCAN.

Sure thing!

 

When looking for VATCAN2, we look for someone with experience, preferably working within a staff role in the past on the network. We also look at things like the person's personal experience within the division, their plans for the future if they were to be accepted into the position, and even references from other staff members (if applicable).
